6x3x3 cage Ideas?

When my sav gets big enough im going to build a 6x3x3 cage and im worried on what wood i should use. Plywood? or something else. I know what not to put in like wire mesh and glass, but im confused over the wood. Hes in like a 25 gallon tank right now cause hes like 9 inches. So could someone help me??

Plywood works on both of my Sav enclosures. I just seal it with silicone in case of water spills.

good luck

i used 3/4" maple plywood for the cage i just built, here is a pic of the front and the back after i stained it and varathaned it. The trim is pine and the doors are made of oak. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

there are some more in my gallery if you want to take a look

Thats not a good tank for a sav. For 1 its to small and for 2 he will bust through the glass .

The shelf isn't necessary. A high cage is good, so for reaching (and other purposes), yourbest bet would be to make the cage as close to the ground as possible.

Good luck!

You know something, that's the first time that happened to me. I guess there's a first time for everything. Sorry.

that cage is used for my leo, i was just showing him what the wood looks like once it is stained and finished to give him some ideas, i don't know anything about savs, so can't say what would be good or bad, it was just an example of a cage made out of maple wood ....

...But I do have to say, it looks like it would make a hell of a leopard gecko cage!
