ive notices thatmy bloods head color changes from a dark to a light brown, once in a while, i was just wondering if neone knows if that means anything.
thanks
Yeah, mine does that too. I'm not sure what triggers it but it sure is impressively fast! My sumatran borgersmai is usually a light peachy color, but then sometimes it's very dark, almost a silvery brown/grey. I believe they all do that to some degree..
ax.
Most boids have a dark phase and a light phase. You can see it most with boa constrictors, but bloods do as well. It has to do with time of day, temperature, and humidity, but no one is really sure what the exact purpose of it is. Some suggest that they darken so as to be able to absorb more heat.
