Instead of being smart asses, why don't we just tell him that the Colombian Boa Constrictor is Boa constrictor imperator (BCI), where Boa constrictor constrictor (BCC) refers to Surinam Boa Constrictors, Guyana Boa Constrictors, etc. And thus, he has a boa constrictor imperator (BCI).

instead of calling us 'smart asses' why don't you look up info on Colombian BCC's which DO exist.. Hence the reason that Trevor asked him if he was in possession of one..

It was a joke, hence the "" but thank you for your input. I am aware of that 'debate' and it only exists if you believe that, lol.

Yes, it is a Colombian BCC...a "true red tail" if you will. I have the genetic history to prove it.

I read that debate the other day, and although I am a newbie at boas, many of the boas that are classified as BCI do not match up in scale counts, which is intriguing.

Please do if you don't mind I'd love to hear about it. Is someone breeding Colombian BCC in Canada?
Here is one that I have in my possesion that I belive may be a BCC.

If you go by the dorsal blotch counts given in the Boa Constrictor Manual, 21 or more for BCI then this guy is a BCC with only 16 blotchs. At his next shed I'll count his ventral scales so I can get a better idea. He may also be a cross between BCI and BCC. His origins are unknown unfortunately.
Cheers,
Trevor

Tony...Boas_N_Pythons...is who I got this little guy from. He has exactly 19 blotches, a few are connected but I counted them as two . The parents and grandparents are all apparently pure BCC, you should contact Tony him to talk with him about it a bit. He's a good guy.

And also, sweet (suspected)BCC!
