Here's Meduza..

My GFs Sinaloan Milk.

I'm surprised there aren't that many around (compared to other colubrids).. She's a great snake with wonderfull colors..

She's the only one of our snake that seems to care about what's going around her enclosure. When we are close to the tank she stops and takes a look, sometime she even comes near the glass.. Wonderfull little individual

I've been thinking of getting one of these guys. They are beautiful snakes. How are their temperaments and feeding response (I'd want to feed F/T)? Do they prefer to burrow or climb?

You can keep them exactly the same way you keep you Mex Blk and Cal King. They might not use the heat as often but other than that, same deal.

They stay fairly small. My adult male is MAYBE 4ft. They will easily take f/t but I find they like smaller meals.

They're a bit squirmy when young but don't musk or bite as often as some milks... in fact, I've never been musked on or bitten by one.

I recommend them.

We had a hard time (not that much) feeding her when we got her.

They are shy eaters. I had to bug her with a F/T pinky in her face in order for her to eat.

I only had to repeat this for 4 feedings. After that we left the pinky ou fuzzy near her hide and she ate when we left.

They usualy don't put on a show, they like to eat in calm surroundings.

As for her temperment, she's really fun to handle, she's allways a bit nervous when we take her out but she calms down quite rapidly.

It's hard to explain all the differences they have with ... lets say a cornsnake. but it is one of the snakes I'd suggest to add in a collection, they are really interesting to keep and they allways have great colors that don't fade out with time.

As for.. climber or digger... they are diggers

We have her on a 3 inches thick mulch and she makes tunnels in them

Yeah, I've only seen mine eat off the tongs.... maybe twice. I always leave it in their boxes and they almost always eat it.

We gave her a live fuzzy when she was young, it took her allmost 30 minutes before she struck

I think she wanted to make friends with the mouse befoire eating her

The big brown boids are the favs in Canada! and I've always wondered why.... I have boids too but they can't beat those colors.

I absolutely love that sinaloan!! I totally want to get my hands on one or two. I've had them before, but passed them on due to this or that, blah blah. Don't think I'll be doing that again!

My #1 recommended milk for beginners too. Easily available, affordable, beautiful, easier to get started (cos of their size) than some of the smaller ones (puebs, annulata), less flighty than puebs and annulata too. Underappreciated is right. My collection consists of no milks right now, but if I ever get back into them, it'd be these.

You got there before me Marc. I can also pair her up XYZ.
I've been really lucky with my sinaloans. They are a really good milk to learn about. Mine have been different eaters, male loves rats and female will only take mice. Both are indifferent to f/t or f/k. A cool characteristic is that they seem to take notice of thier surroundings. Mine also are aware that i am in the room and appear to watch outside the glass.
I would love to see more pics of everyone's sinaloans.

Beautiful looking sinaloan you've got there -- the more I see of these guys, the more I like them! Definitely another one to go onto the wish list....
