tortoise?

alright, so now im thinking of getting a tortoise because ive been thinking about how dirty turtle tanks get, and at a fast rate. i know i could get a good filter, but i dont really have the money for a large aquarium/pond and a filter. so ive been thinking of some sort of land tortoise. my friend has a russian tortoise, but i would want something bigger. i would like one that gets quite large(not much larger than 14 inches), needs high temperatures(around 80), needs a higher humidity(about 50+ during the day), and eats vegetation. if anyone knows of a land tortoise that fits these descriptions, please let me know. i think ive seen and heard about a tortoise that fits these needs, i think it was called a yellow foot(but im probably wrong, im just going with what first came to my mind lol). thanks a lot

Tortoises require a large amount of space in relation to their size compared to other reptiles. So if you don't have the money for a large enclosure, a tortie probably isn't the best option for you.

im thinking of getting a land tortoise, so that eliminates the cost of a filter. and during the spring, summer, and part of the fall, its nice enough where i live to make a big pen outside, which would be quite cheap. the only porblem might be getting some sort of indoors enclosure.
