Lost and found Cal King

Hi guys,

I am the happiest man on earth right now.
6 months ago (all days counted!!!) my california king made a daring escape...and succeeded.

At the time, I was renovating my basement in my house and I think that he went to hide under the floor or in the walls.
Needless to say that I stopped all renovations in the hope that he would come out soon. It never happened...

It was close to winter and thought that if he went to hide in the walls it would be the coldest temperature he would
have to endure in his life (must have been -5 celcius at least...i'm very serious).

I can tell you guys, without a doubt, that these snakes are a tough breed. they really can withstand low temperatures
because he finally came out this past saturday out of the walls and he didn't seem to be in bad shape at all.

I gave him some water (boy...did he ever drink) and a mouse and he attacked it without hesitation (he actually
gulped it down in less than 2 minutes).

I am so happy to have found him back...this time he will not escape again.

It was my fault in the first place that he was able to escape. I did not take every precautions to eliminate the risk
of escape.

My fault alone...the lesson is learned.

Well, I'm glad you learned that lesson without much harm to the snake.

It happens to EVERYONE.
