new cage, pics inside
I put up the new cage last weekend.. the old one was 2 x 2 x 4, this one is 1 1/2 x 3 x about 6.
here's the dude.. Durango is his name (because he has a hemi):
here's the new cage. it's pretty big, man.

nice duct tape. we still have velcro somewhere if you want to use that. and as for the top, i bet you could just close it off with a piece of wood and pop a couple vents in it to let that heat out. can't be any more heat than the 250 mh on leighton's or my tanks, so i'm guessing you'd be 100% fine safety wise to do that.

the duct tape holds the doors closed until I decide to stop being lazy and get real latches.. I was going to put screen over the top so crickets wouldn't get out if I free roamed.
meow, the thing around the branch is a probe for the thermometer.

The real latches are cheap, you can get some cabinet type ones that snap in for about a dollar 50 a piece or less.

as well as way less $1.50. i have one of those little slide type latches you can have. maybe that will work well enough for your purposes. actually, i have two of them, and you're welcome to both.
