Question sexing

Is probing the only way to sex corns? I thought I read somewhere that you can tell by the tail. Is this correct? We've had our corn for over a year, but have no clue what sex it is. I also have no clue what typr of corn either. I will try to post pics and maybe someone can help me. Thanks.

Probing and poping is the best method of sexing snakes.

Tail sexing isn't always 100% accurate. It's only a wide guess~~
so it's only a 50% chance~

According to a book I have it says the female has a tail that is thick and gets thin rather abruptly. The male's tail is an even taper. Whether this is accurate I'm not sure.

Which book did you read that out of? I read the same thing, and it had a diagram. It was Barron books' "Cornsnakes, and other Rat Snakes" MY baby corn seems to have the tail of a female which is good because I have pretty much made her a female. Her name is Scarlet because of her beautiful red and orange colour. I am sort of curious to her sex and the pet shop I bought her from said they could sex her but I said no because I already assumed she was female. It doesn't matter too much I guess if you aren't planning on breeding them though..

Yes, That's the same exact book LoL. I have a Norm that I named Scarlet also but will have to change it since it's a male. I was thinking of The Red Baron. What do you think? Yes ? No ?

Tail sexing (the way you have done it or anyone else does it) is not 100% accurate.

For 100% accuracy you must get the snake probed.
