Trip to Creston, BC

My spring trip to Creston this year was excellent. I live in saskatoon which makes creston a good 10 hour drive away. Me and my wife decided to go this year nice and early, but she only had thurs. and friday off. Even though the weather was forecasting chance of rain, I couldnt wait any longer, Winter sucks. It seems crazy but we only spent 5 hours looking for herps around creston, the rest of the time was spent driving with a visit on the way home with ryan and sheila in leader. Anyways heres some pics.

the small alligator lizards seem to be prone to loosing their tails?

2 nice big ones found sunning before the rain started

area where we seen most of the lizards

handful of nice western skinks

some other critters
pacific treefrog

long toed salamander full of eggs

peacock escapee near Kidd creek rest area

wild turkey at skink area

also seen handful of valley garters
this one put on a good show and puffed up and struck at me!

and one Wandering garter

in total we seen 11 western skinks and 5 Alligator lizards, unfortunately no rubber boas were spotted this trip. But what do you expect in 5 hours. I think it was well worth the drive.
