It won't protect everybody.
There seem to be several instances of people with good reputations suddenly becoming unreliable or disappearing with money. The BOI isn't going to help the people that get ripped off by someone who has put some effort into getting a good rep first.
It's just like the eBay scammers who sell lots of small items for a year or two, then suddenly have $500,000 worth of merchandise up for sale in one week.

It won't help everyone but you can't 100% avoid scams your entire life no matter what you are buying & selling. It's an excellent place to start though and has helped many many people. The only problem is if no one posts good & bad then their won't be as good of a record. I try to make a post on the Canadian forum there everytime I have a good deal.

If no one posts then it won't have posts!
If everyone here posted their good deals and bad then it WOULD be useful.
Don't use it if you don't want. But if everyone had your attitude about it, then you are right. It wouldn't be useful. But for those of us who hope it can one day be a valuable resource, we add to it in hopes of that.

i dont think it gets alot of posts coz not enough people know about it that was the whole point of this post to make people aware of this.
im also a believer in posting on any future dealings good or bad
for the sellers this is a great way to improve or get a reputation , everytime you sell something ask the person to post about the experience good or bad , the bad will only help you improve your business practice unless your a scammer and then there is just NO hope for you

It's not a blank forum. Only registered people are allowed to view the forum. LOL. So yes if you are unregistered and go there, its blank.

It's not about "succeeding", it's about poor administration. BTW, why so edgy? Take it easy, no need to be rude...

yes, back to the topic, I think that is should be common practice to ask for other's experiences about a breeder prior to dealing with them
I'd rather ask the people here about their experiences than on a board where I don't know the people or the community
besides, if I tried to register again, and it worked, then I'd have a different screen name and that would just suck
