1. I find them easier to handle then leos. They stick to you so its quite abit different. They can jump a fair distance as well and are somewhat unpredictable when young.
2. Not messy at all. Very easy to keep on top of cleaning. They dont smell half as bad as leos either.
3. I normally feed mine about 4 to 6 crickets every two days. They also eat fruit baby food which I give to mine probably two to three times a week. I mix in Crested Gecko Diet with the baby food. CGD is a powdered meal replacement, you mix it with either water or baby food. Cresties can live off of only CGD but grow at a slower rate.
4. They drink water droplets so they should be misted at least once a day. I mist mine at least twice but my room is quite dry. Once a day is probably enough.
5. I read somewhere that there isn't really much life span info out there because they were only recently found (1994 I think). I think a safe bet would be anywhere from 10 to 20 years.
6. You can put a male and female in the same cage if they are mature but be ready for eggs because you will get them.
7. I think males will probably be ready at around 8 months but females should probably be a year. I'm not to sure on this so wait for another answer.
8. I would highly recommend getting them. Very neat little guys who come in so many different colors. Very easy to take care of and best of all if you breed them you never know what color the babies will be.

i love mine. three out four of mine are easy to handle, the other is a nut! i'm thinking i might sell him. i keep a red light on at night to maintain temps, and so i can watch. they are very cute. i think cleanup is easy if you do it at least once a week. males and females should be the same size to put them together. good luck. oh, temps should be about 71-75. not as hot as other reptiles, or they'll die.

crested info

1. are they difficult to handle ???
They are fairly tame for the most part, they get a little jupmy but not so bad that you can't catch them. Mine just hop onto the couch while I'm holding them sometimes, that's all.

2. are they very messy reptiles ???
They are definetly not messy at all. I mean they poop on the sides of the enclosure and on plants but it is very easy to clean

3. how does the feed go ??? everyday or a certain # of crickets or every 2days ?
I give mine a mixture of crested diet and peach baby food every other day and crickets dusted with mineral two to three times a week. about 3-4 crix each

4. do i need to mist everyday ?
I mist mine here and there but they congrageate around there waterfall most of the time and drink out of there.

5. how long do they live for ?
We don't really know how long they can live for because they have only been in captivity since 1994. Some people think as long as a leopard can 20-30 years, but 14 is the minimum most give.

6. can i put 2 together in the same cage ? 1male, 1female ?
If you are going to permanently house two together I would suggest teo females. Having a horny male around all the time can be quite stressful for a female. My females are all housed together.

7. how long till they can breed ? in age wise ?
If you want good eggs I would wait till they are two but they do mature around a year.

8. if there is anything you can tell me, it can be appreciated.... thank you.........
I will have 5 females for sale at the show for $130 each. They will be at Henry Pioruns table if you would like to have a look.
