which digi?

I"m looking to get a digi that has good color qaulity, zoom and if at all possible that is water proof and is under $600 any suggestions?

Myself i use the sony mavica mvc FD73 its got a 10x zoom and takes crystal clear pictures its not water proof though and if i remember right the last one i saw at blacks was down to $450 cnd. funds

Do a search...there are lots & lots of posts along this line. You can compare camera specs at dpreview.com.

For underwater use...If you only need the occasional wet shot, I suggest using those cheap one-time use water proof cameras. If you need water proof more often, there are a few specific cameras and there are water tight cases for Canon/Nikon cameras.

I recomend doing a lot of research. You'll find that the camera that you want is a little different than the camera that somebody else has or wants. The first link is the site of a fellow who does reviews on digi cams. The second is a forum site where extensive discussion takes place. The last link is Henerys, they will at least give you a guidline for prices and usually have specs about their equipment.
