new bp ate today
I got Charlie about 3 weeks ago, hes 4.5 feet, today i atempted to feed him and it was a success. i held a FT small rat above his head, he seemed interested but not quite interested enough to take it. i moved it around a little, got it closer to him, he just seemd really confused, like he'd never been given a dead rat before, maybe never given a rat at all. i layd it down and he went over and smell all up and down its body. finally he started mouthing its sides trying to find its head. it was so weird because he didn't constrict it, i'v never had a snake do that, my boas and other bps alway constrict their dead food, even if its laying down. after about 5 minutes he finally found the head and started eating. it took him FOREVER to eat the rat, almost a half hour. i'v given bigger prey to other snakes and they'v eaten alot faster than that. he seemd to have trouble, he didn't really want to stretch his mouth a whole lot,he very slowly, gradually ate it. theres not even a huge bulge in him as if the rat was too big.

i'm really only guessing hes a male because the spurs are pretty big. but he is probably the biggest bp i'v seen in real life-other than pictures.

Nice pic. Man if that thing is 4.5 feet it draws my little fat BP. Congrats on the feeding.
