Average Bcc litter size?
Looks like my female has a belly full of something (not food ), so I'm building another rack in case. Now I have no clue what to be building for, all I have been told is that it is much smaller than Bci litter sizes, but haven't been given numbers nor have I been able to find any figures online Any help would be appreciated. I would like to get cracking on this asap

I would build for 20 min. as a long shot min. Could be double that though so depends on size of female.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I fired off a few emails to some of the bigger boa breeders as well. General concensus seems to be 8-25, sometimes a little less but not usually much more. My girl isn't a big girl, last time she was weighed she was 20 lbs and she's a little under 7.5' in length at 8 years of age. I'm building a rack for 24. I wouldn't be congratulating yet though... hehehe... I never saw her ovulate and the male is still breeding her. Until she is huge I'm not getting my hopes too high (it's so damn hard not to, though!).

Perhaps the "belly full" that you saw was in fact ovulation?

I have and have had males that will hump a stump. Just case the male is still trying to breed has nothing to do with weather the female is or has ovulated.
and yes I'm talking locked up, the "full meal deal",lol

No definitely not. It is far too small, and it has been there for a few weeks now.

I would build it for 25 babies. If you get more you can always put two in each container with no problem. Anyways i'm sure you will have lots of buyers so you wont have to keep them for long
It would be great to see pics of her
Good luck,
Stav

I don't know the answer to this question as I don't have too many boas around (only brb and rosy....lol)
but it's always nice to see breeders being responsible and getting ready for the 'just in case' situation!
I hope that she is really gravid for you!!
Hoping to see some of those hatchling pics soon!

Yeah the litter is probably gone already, the whole world wants Mr. Poopypants so soon as it became known he was trying to make some babies...
