.... Freaky. Wouldn't want to run into those in a dark alley.

looks like 2 spiders 2 me too. one is biting the abdomen of the other one. You see the top side of the one above and the bottom side of the lower one. They are still big though
Just my thought

wind scorpion

Hey guys,

Pretty sure these are wind scorps. But they are pretty big for that. Hope that guy in the gulf was careful; they've got a mean temper.

Cheers,

A Buddy of mine got stupid while on operation in Somalia one night. Had some time off and was drinking a few beers. He decides to grab this small camel spider that was scurring accross the ground and ate it. Funny as hell. He got sick later that night and ended up in bed for 3 days. He couldn't eat, sleep, **** or anything.
For entertainment, there was the "thunder box"... an empty ammo can. What ever could be found went into the can for a good fight. Scorpions, millipeds, spiders. For anyone wondering, the millipeds always won.
Before anyone goes off on a tantrum about not being nice to animals put this into perspective. Being on a NATO mission for 6 months in the desert, entertainment comes at a premium.

It is probably one spider in the middle of a molt.
