beautiful boas Jeff.. Just out curiosity, how old are those boa's?? I just want to use your pics as somewhat of a size reference for my boa's.. (I understand, growth rates depend on feeding, living conditions etc). Just an approximate size they should be at.
thanks
steve

They are a year and a bit. I have actually slowed down feeding over the winter months. They will pack on some serious weight through spring and summer. I won't push them to breed this fall though. I'm in no rush. If they go in 2005 or 2006, that's good enough!
Thanks guys,
Jeff F

Hey kids,
Those are impressively large animals for a year and a bit. Actually, looking at them made me a little paranoid about the size of my bcc. At what I would estimate to be the age of 1 year and three months or so, he's still only about 36-38 inches and his girth, well, I don't have the numbers, but he looks like an Ethiopian compared to those bcis. I would say less than half of their girth. Do those numbers sound off to you guys? I've had him on smallish-mediumish rats for about three months now on a weekly basis. No other problems with him at all. I know all snakes are different, but...

Keep in mind, those Bci's JUST ate like 20 minutes prior to the photos.
3 feet for a 1.5 year old Bcc is just fine. I wouldn't worry. Slow and steady wins the race!
Simon, they are het albino females.
