How do you know...?

My male pastel BP has been breeding a couple of females off and on since January. I don't check on my snakes everyday so I'm wondering if I could have missed ovulation. Both the females seem fat even though they haven't eaten in months. The other day, I palpated three lumps approx. the size of a large marble in one of the females. How do I know (aside from waiting to see what happens) if those represent enlarged follicles prior to ovulation or developing eggs?

Behaviorally, that female was mostly spending time at the cool end. The last few days she has been restless but still refusing food. I just placed her with the male again and they are mating.
