I was really just wondering about the width at 1 foot...He is still a juvi and it will last for a while but im kind of thinking for the long run...Id rather them all be in permenent tanks.

I would consider a 4' x 2' x 2' a minimum for a Mali. They are one of the larger Uro species after all. I have seen Mali's that were around 18" total length or more.
Also, Malis can be pretty rough on each other and apparently don't live well together. Based on the information I've collected, I wouldn't house mali's together in anything smaller than a six or eight foot long cage (other demensions the same as above).
Just my opinion.

Yes, Egyptian Uros are the largest of the species attaining lengths of around 30". That's one big Uro!

Bartman: everybodys sudgestions are good but just one thing, you might want to add a couple inches of substrate so he can dig more(the uro). Otherwise, looks great!
