Bending flexwatt?

Is it ok to bend heat tape slightly?

I want to use it under the enclosure on the top shelf, and behind the enclosure on bottom shelf.

Top rubbermaid will be on the heattape
Bottom rubbermaid, the side of container will be against heattape.

Is this safe?

Thx.

Yup. As long as it is just bent, but not folded or bent sharp enough to make a crease in it. I use one piece of heat tape woven throughout all the shelves in my rack no problems this way

I bend mine 90 degrees to 'weave' my tape between levels on my racks (refer to my gallery for pics if necessary) so that I can use one continuous piece and not worry about multiple thermostats.
