Lightbulb well ventalated 'cages for snakes...

i was wondering if anyone out there has ever tried housing a serpent in an enclosure contrusted from fine steel mesh and various other materials, or maybe i should just say incorporating steel mesh with more than a few small openings for ventalation covered with it??? i think its an idea worth trying out, unless the snake really requires a high humidity, or is too big and strong to be containned by mesh. obviously the enclosure and the room its in would need to be outfitted with a sufficient climate control system. thanks for your input!

........

Pretty hard to heat the thing.

Also, would most snakes feel secure in that type of cage??
