Good Time For Breed bp's

Hi I would like to know when is a good time to put bp's together to breed them and at what age is good and size? Thanks Jeff Johnson

Best time for breeding is Dec-March. It is too late now so you'll have to wait until next year.

females should be close to 3 years old and at least 1500 grams, males should be 1.5 years and 700+ grams.

Females should be at least 30 months old. Males? Well, some breed at 9 months, some take until 18 months. Depends.

As for when to breed them? Well, activity can take place year round. Most cycle them for 2 months in the winter (Dec. - Jan.) and then mating takes place for 2-3 months after that (until April). But they do breed year-round, and they do so successfully.
