size of UV Light?

I'm building a cage for my soon to be beardie and was just wondering what size of light I should get for it??

The cage will be 48x18x18"

will a 24" do or should I get a 36" ???

If you can get the 36" then go for it.
But a 24" should be fine. Just make sure it's positioned only 6-8" above where your dragon will bask

I'm in agreeance (sp). If you can get the 36"go for it, in my area bulbs that size are hard to come across for some reason, unless i buy them off the net.

I know they make them it's just the petstores in my area don't really stock up on them. Everytime i'm in they are out but they always have plenty of 24" ones on hand.

If not you can always buy a few off the net so you have backups, that's what i've been doing.

Why not a 48"? They are easy to find here and only a couple bucks more.
