New Leachianus :)

Hi.
I picked up two GT leachies last month so I figured it's about time I got some pics up. They're 8 months old and about the size of an adult crested gecko. My young adult pair goes for blood (litterally) as soon as they see each other so hopefully I can find a good mate in one or both of these little guys in the future. Anyway, here are the pics:

Thanks guys. These little monkeys were a pain to get up here... customs & USFW was, um, lets say extremely unpleasant. :P My guess is the avg. size & weight is around 10" svl and 350 - 450g. I've only seen a handful of adults in person but I think that would be a safe average.
oops, this is in the crested forum... if Hilde sees this feel free to move it.
Thanks

Awesome geckos! Congratulations.

I've got a couple of GT "Type A" (Dark Morph) Leachies myself...they're a lot of fun.

Does anyone else think they should think about making this a Rhacodactylus forum, instead of just Cresties? I never post pics of mine because I know the post will just get moved, and I really don't like digging through the general lizard forum, when all I keep is snakes, Cresties and very few other geckos.

It's okay to post about all Rhacs here in this forum. Since the care is so similar, the only big difference is body size (well, in some cases it's BIG difference )

I've got a female R. l. henkeli Pine Island. She's 4 years old, a wee touch short of 12 inches, no clue how much she weighs. She's the laziest gecko ever, waits for the bugs to walk into her mouth, otherwise she'll ignore them, hunting is not her thing. For a gecko that's generally inactive, she's still very lovable and I wouldn't trade for for anything.

I guess not everyone feels that way because Linds moved my Hatchling Gargoyle Gecko post to the main lizard forum a couple weeks ago.

Today was my first time up close with these guys, at a fair near me and I have to say these are probably the "coolest" gecko I very hold! Their legs remind me of crestiies how it's kinda webbed you know. I don't want to be rude but how much did you buy them for? At the fair they were selling them for 350 for a hatchling and a juvie for 600.

lol, i'm a little embarassed about the cost, especially since it's in U.S. dollars... but I did pay within the range you described. They are definitely one of my favorite geckos. I think it's the floppy skin, for some reason it reminds me of giant pajama's Their vocalizations are really neat too...
