I am guessing easly over 60 bucks, because I remember at a pet store near me they where selling a normal 6 inch pac man frog for 50(u.s.). How big is he in inches? I will ask the store about it.

I would say ours is about 8 inches from tip to end, He is also a yellow belly so that makes them more valueable I am told because they are the largest species, dont get me wrong I am not looking to sell him just curious as to the value of these frogs.
Thanks all for the nice comments
Kim

Here in the states they are realy not worth too much....... At that size they are worth alittle more but you can buy a small one and watch it get that big pretty fast.......... Put it this way You can go to a pet store here and buy one for about 10 bucks....... Horned (pac-man) frogs are worth much more......... Even marine toads bring in more money than african bull frogs do........ But then again, I am sure that animal is priceless to you, as it should be.......... It is hard to put a price on an animal you raised up and grown to love....... Anyway, I am sure you can get anywhere from 30 to 50 bucks if you wanted to sell it........

I dunno... If she waited a bit longer and let him get full grown, the price seems to go up pretty dramatically. I've seen people charging a couple hundred bucks for big guys, I don't know if they got it... and that was retail... and in the states... But it's worth mentioning.

Still a pretty good looking boy though, even if he's not worth tens of thousands of dollars. He grab you yet or have you been careful?

Pyxies generally can leap about a foot, foot and a half...

They're all bulk, they can give a hop when they have to but it's not what they adapted to do. Moisture retention and being big enough to avoid a few of the more common small predator species are a higher evolutionary priority. The males are also about twice the size of the females, give or take... Pretty interesting and complex breeding behavior, from courtship to froglets the male involvement is kinda unique (in frogs that size anyway, it's somewhat similar to some denodrobate behavior).

Bites are fun too, these guys are all mouth and jaw. I've got a big guy myself... Much older than the one pictured above though. I may have to pick up a disposeable camera and get a few shots.

That would be great if you could get pic's of yours M_suri and sorry for the misunderstanding I meant that the yellow bellied were bigger than the normal pixies I should have said larger not largest.
What do you feed yours and how do you house it?
