Shedding question, please.

My seven month Cali female took a rat pup on 28 Feb, then snuggled down. A couple of days later i noticed that her eyes were going green so decided not to bother her.

She has been curled up under her bedding all this time. This afternoon she popped her head out, and the green has gone and her skin is very dull but I am a bit surprised that she has not shed yet. this will be her third shed since i got her.

Should I be concerned? She looks okay in all other ways.

I wouldn't be that worried it will shed when its time. If you feel that it has been long enough maybe provide a humidity hide for it to speed up the shedding process.
Cheers, RYan

Yeah she will shed when she wants. Things are going fine. Normally they are shy, and reluctant to come out when in shed...even once it goes clear....after the shed she will probably come out quite a bit because she will be hungry!

Things sound like they are perfect.

Thanks. I think I'll leave her until Friday. Then, if I'm still unsure I'll ask the local reptile store to check her over.

Panic over! She just shed. TBH, I have never seen a snake shedding before. In the past I have just got up in the morning and found it had happened sometime overnight. I have to admit that it was an awesome experience.

Needless to say, she is starving and I am busy defrosting a rat pup in hot water as I type.
