Trip to Ottawa

Just got back from a weekend jaunt to Ottawa to see my nieces for their birthdays. They live about 10 minutes away from Little Rays so the family hopped in the van and over we went. They've been there before and they love it. It's great to see two little kids (just turning 4 and 6) that will touch alligators, snakes, monitor, tarantulas, and scorpions without freaking out.

I spent 3 hours just looking, asking questions, and bugging Ray

It was an awesome time.

If you're in Southwest Ontario, and the drive to Ottawa is a pain in the butt (literally, it's almost 700km), they're bringing the roadshow to London for March Break, at the Westmount Shopping Centre.

If anyone needs directions from the highway, drop me a note

Glad u liked it .. although i was there working the 8-6 shift sat and Sun .. Did u see me?

Unless u came Saturday ... it was so busy me and Ray were tag teaming and putting on the two shows at once..

Yeah, guess I did

I was in the corner under the "Nemo" tank, with the two little girls (Saturday afternoon).

Never would have thought I'd see a monitor that big outside a cage. Didn't realize they could be handled at that size. Had to read up on 'em soon as I got back

My girlfriend couldn't make it but now I can take her out to the local show.

Got to get her comfortable with the idea of reptiles and herps everywhere

We stuck around long enough to get a second show, and my sister snapped this pic.

I've got that whole irrational fear of spiders thing happening so it was really cool to be able to hold it for a second and feel how gently it moved, without the urge to bolt for the door and roll around on the ground screaming

Hey I was at little ray's on saturday from about 12:00 to 1:30... About 5'4 bushy semi-long hair... held "Chomps-alot" ...kind of, you know you hold the head, I hold the body type thing!

Anyway, I saw the retic eat from the tree, that was amazing, it shook the whole cage!!! I also noticed that you guys had a tiger retic where the burms usually are, what's the story on that? I have a few questions about your venemous: Where do you get them? Do you handle them Dom? I also saw you get bit by that tokay! LOL that was hilarious, you were leakin'. well....

Was the Gaboon real? I stared at it for a good 5 minutes and couldn't tell if it was breathing

For sure it was real, it looked amazing too. You could see it flatten out very very very slightly every few seconds. They don't move much at all like most other vipers, because they're ambush hunters...
