?sperm plug?

I was giving my "female" bp a warm bath to see if she would go to the bathroom for me (she has been fasting, and I am trying to get some fecal to get a fecal done, lol) and I noticed something floating in the water almost right after I put her in.

I did a search in the breeding forum and found this thread

I went to BoidKeepers gallery and found the picture he was talking about.
They look all cork screw like. Are there times they look different?

The thing I found (sorry no pics ) looks kinda yellowish, looks like a stick person without the head and arms (only way I could think to describe it) and at the end of each leg they each have 1 dark spot on it.

It is possible it could be skin from an old shed that was stuck to the bottom area (forgot the name?) that I missed when I checked her over. But I wanted to check with the experienced people before I just push it back as part of an old shed.


What could this be???

ANY help would be great. I don't have any pics, sorry about that.

From my experiences, sperm plugs don't just 'fall out'. They require some masterful manipulation to get some plugs to pop out. It is possible, I wouldn't rule it out without a picture, but it seems pretty unlikely to me. It could probably be a slew of things, I would tend to think it was some retained shed on the spurs rather than a chunk of sperm. JMO though...

Well, it could be anything, I was massaging the "area" to see if she would go to the bathroom for me. So it sounds like a possibility.

Of all things I ALWAYS make sure the shed comes off the spurs, even if I have to sit there with a pair of tweezers for 20 minutes each spur to gently pull it off. I have this paranoid thing, that if I don't get the shed of her spur that it will fall off. lol, So that is out.

What is that other "slew" of things you speak of?

And now even if I wanted to get a pic I can't, my mother threw it away.

Yes they never look the same twice. Give "her" a couple of weeks and try to pop them out. Place her head in a bag, flip her tail over place one thumb in front of her vent and then aply gentel pressure to the tail sliding your thumb up to the cloaca just like you would if you were trying to pop the hemipens on a baby male snake. You will seen either sperm plugs pop out or even the small holes were a sexing probe would enter into the musk gland.

Sapphire, there are no 'slew' of things that I mentioned, that was pretty much it, I just really like to use the word 'slew'.
