Ideal humidity for incubating ball eggs

What do you guys consider to be the optimal humidity levels for incubating ball python eggs?

Last year I tried Jeff's aquarium incubator with a no substrate egg box and the humidity was ~100% which worked great so I doubt I'll change.

Anyone else? I've got eggs now, and after three days, they're developing little white spots on them. I aerate every day, letting some new air in but still remain a little perplexed about the spots.

Have you candled them to ensure they are "good"? It may be easier to help if you can post a pic. I also wouldn't aerate them everyday, I only open mine up every 5 - 7 days.

I wouldn't open the incubator every day. Especially this early on. I don't even look at the eggs for like 40 days or so. Then I'll peek on them to see what's up.

I get condensation everywhere with the no-substrate method, so I assume its 100% RH. I've never ever measured it though. I'd think anything above 80% would be adequate for conventional incubating (vermiculite mixture, etc etc).

Well, what I'm using is the vermiculite/perlite mixture and there's condensation everywhere. I don't have a hygrometer in the rubbermaid, only the Helix probe but I'm assuming the humidity is 100%. I had to leave 2 slugs attached to the good 5 but that looks like it's alright.

Leaving bad eggs attached is a debatable topic. Best of luck man!
