There has never been a reptile show in Saskatchewan that I am aware of.
We have considered putting one on, and might still.
The reasons we haven't so far, are:
1) There aren't many breeders in Saskatchewan
2) I think many out of province breeders would be reluctant to come to a show where they can not sell boas or pythons.
3) Red Deer isn't that far of a drive, and it is Canada's largest and best show

Who would ride the tractors and scare away the gophers if everyone was at a reptile show?

I would attend as a vendor... for sure.
We (The MHS) have been kicking around the idea of a show in Winnipeg (or just outside the city to avoid the by-laws) in the next few years.... Start small and try to build it up. Who knows? We are out in the middle of nowhere...

the Calgary Fall show can be from I think 10000-30000ft2. We should have about 100 or more tables at the show for both days. The spring show is in a smaller venue so it has about 70-80 tables
You going to come out to one of our shows Jordan?

Tim, let us know if you will be trying for a Manitoba show - we would be interested in coming out.

You guys would be the first people I'd call.
A big concern would be: how do I convince any breeders from Alberta, BC or Ontario to come all this way when they have several shows of their own each season?

With the restrictions on certain boids, how would that affect breeders/vendors on what they could bring and sell?

One would have to check with local bylaw enforcement about that Jeff. As an example, there is a show being planned around TO in a city that has a bylaw of "NO reptiles."
I contacted the bylaw department and after some investigation and such, they decided there is nothing wrong with having the show and outsiders attending as vendors. There is no bylaw against selling reptiles, just keeping/raising them
