Very interesting ebay item that actually sold!

Long read but if you were ever an x-files fan then it's worth taking the time.

x-files nothing, I don't know much of any jewish religion but I try to study up on different religions and it looks like a freakin portable alter table of some sort to me!

edit:

after reading it and reading what was inside the "cabinet" I think that it was obviously a "Evil" or "bad" alter. Locks of hair the most common thing used when doing a "hex" or "bad spell" personal items and such were the next common thing to use.
And I do believe alot of it is still in practice today.
Regardless of which religion it is/was from things like this can cause real problems. And make real marks on physical human body.

This is why we NEVER buy used furiniture/appliances (washer, dryer, refridgerator etc...) of any kind (unless bought new by a friend/relative and given to us).

Like I said, I don't believe it's a religious thing, when a spirit is evil it don't care if you belive in the Holy Trinity or a Welsh God.

Gullible? I have personally been violently pushed back on my bed and almost chocked to death by "gullibility". I have had bruises on my body from "gullibility". Don't always say something isn't true just because you can't see it, or you haven't experienced it.

Wow, that is some truly scary ****!!! True or not, its scary. And to tell you the truth, things like that are about the only thing that scare me cause you cant get rid of them. I'd rather try snowboarding off a 100ft cliff and not land it than get something like that. I know people will go through alot of trouble to do something like that but jeez. Actually, it has just come back to my mind, when i was younger(7 or 8) I would have dreams. I would be lying in my bed in my room. my room was wrapped in chainlink fence and there would be a jungle and war zone all around me. War gurus would come and beat me up or shoot me. I dont know why i had these dreams(probably just cause i was young, lol) but I could not and still cant relate it to anything. Also, a year or two ago, I used to have dreams of high speed trains rushing straight at me. These happened, always between 5:00PM and 5:00AM and i wasnt always sleeping. Besides the train things i havent had a nightmare for probably 3-4 years. Kind of strange. Thats funny it actually sold. If it goes up for sale again, people will probably start to wonder.

Holy scary Batman! The most scary part is the old women hag that everyone sees. I watched a show just recently where an old hag women was appearing in peoples dreams & would choke them & beat them. This would happen with others in the room watching helplessly as the victim was abused from beyond. The witnesses saw what appeared to be an invisible being literally strangling etc. the victim right in front of them as they watched helpless. This "hag" had numerous references to it through out the history of the area, somewhere in England I think, & had been messing with people for centuries. I think they tied it all back to some old witch back in the 16th or 17th century. The amazing part was all these people had such similar violent experiences of this hag holding them down & choking them, leaving bruises cuts & scrapes as physical evidence to the assaults. She, the hag, would sometimes appear with another evil spirit who would try to force itself sexually apon victims as well holding them down on their bellies trying to rape them. The funny thing is the more they invesigated the more people that came out with similar horrifing experiences. The more stories they heard the more they all started sounding the same. I have heard other tales of other evil spirits trying to rape people etc. as well leaving behind actual physical evidence of their actions. I'm not too religous myself, but I do beleive their are things at work in this world that we don't know or understand & probably never will. I beleive that life has its balances & for every good force at work that there is an equally powerful force of evil to balance it out. People mock what they can't or refuse to understand. I myself have a hard time believing things without scientific proof, but these evil beings don't nessicarily follow the laws of nature or man now do they. People can believe what they want, but there is some extreme evil lurking out there & until someone experiences it personally they will never relate. We who sit back & mock these people should consider ourselves lucky that we have never been exposed to such evil & hopefully never will be. Just because it is beyond our pitiful grasps of reality, doesn't mean that this evil doesn't exist. Anyhow they should have buried it with her as she requested. This old woman was probably saving us all from some evil she had learned to contain, only to have it released upon others by fools. Mark

Chris,
That would actually be kind of interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a game related to this sale as well. Buy it, add to the story, and put it up for sale again.

There's writing games like that where you add to the story and pass it on. Increasing the interest of the prcoess by tying it to a tangible item is a cool idea.

On the contrary, not all "evil", "bad", etc altars used hair and other personal items. I can give you many Altar variations that use blood and aren't bad. It all depends on the practicioner, not the tools. Tools are just a channel. I know many reputable Pagan practicioners who use blood and hair because that's what feels right to them. They could be doing healing prayers.

Using something physical from a person gives the practicioner something to focus on, whether it's hair, a photo, blood, etc.

sapphire_moon, many Pagans experience just what you keep getting defensive about. Everyone has their different beliefs and until things happen to a person individually, they will stick to their beliefs until they die, don't take offence to anyone saying it's a hoax or cool or funny. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
