If you buy a veiled or jackson's chameleon you are looking at at least $500 if you get it all from a pet store. Chameleons aren't quite as hardy as some other reptiles. By that I mean, if the humidity, temeratures, or lighting aren't quite right, they are less forgiving. Bearded dragons and leopard geckos are a good choice for beginners. You could get everything you need for a leopard gecko for less than $100 and they are colorful and hardy animals.

yes very good point, i spent around 200 on the chameleon it self, the cage plant etc, cost me about 150, with lights etc so its near 350-400. and i made the cage my self, if it was bought at the pet store around $100, collide gave you great sites, and they will answer how much it costs for them i believe, i read it a few days ago. i would suggest a veiled chameleon or a panther, i hear jacksons are a little harder. but i have never had one so im not sure. Big head suggested a leopard gecko and a bearded dragon those are great pets, if you just got into reptiles. Do some reserach, and if you got questions i dont mind answering them
