The king would have to be the Komodo......... But the one that I would have in my house would be Varanus albigularis........Black throat..........

REPTILE171:

I would say because of budget a DAYTEK 21" monitor, lol.

But actually I am very partial to Nile Monitors too. Komodos are the kings but not a real pet on any terms, lol.

Cya...

THE CHRIS MONITOR! Its my own new breed, I created it in a lab! They grow to 30 feet, eat 1 rabbit every two weeks, super tame, you can teach them tricks and to be a guard "dog". LOL.

I would have to say the ultimate monitor king would be the Komodo but if it was something that people keep, im not too sure.

i'll second the green tree monitor. Definately my most wanted. I'd take a black tree monitor just aswell, but the colour of the green is just fantastic. One day i'll have the cash, and the girlfriend will cave in and allow it!

The king of monitors (pet speaking) would be the water monitor because it's the largest and one of the tamest. So waters make a total package combination for everyone who likes an impressive reptile.
The all time king would be Megalania.

Although the chris monitor seems pretty good (however I would reconsider the name).
BTW, what is the scientific name for that?
