Day gecko shedding problem

One of my madagascar giant day geckos didn't shed completely last time around and he's having some problems. There is a little left on the end of his tail and on all four feet. My humidity is never below 65% and usually in the high 70's or low 80's. I don't know why it happened, but I am going to get a new hydrometer right now to see if that's the problem.
Anyway, he isn't climbing the glass anymore and that is definitely not good. I don't know how to help him other than keeping humidity high. I have a bowl big enough for him to soak in, but I've never seen then go into it. I know their skin is extremely sensitive. I have never even touched them, period. Should i try to get him into a fish net or something and use tweasers to try to peel some off? I won't do anything until I hear some advise from you guys. I will go to my vet if i need to, but I don't know what he could do either. Thanks.

I used to have the same problem with one of mine. All I did was mist it and the cage once a day. When I misted the gecko I made sure he got a good dose. After about 4 days the problem skin usually came off.

It's been almost a week now. He is still eating fine, but I'm afraid that he will shed again and lose a toe or something. Thanks for your help.
