It sure sounded like an advertisement to me and since it was his/her first post it looked even more suspicious. I imagine it was removed.

Actually this was someone who just got their first beardie and is really good at building websites.I told him that he should tell people about it so he can help people show off some of their animals. There are people who are on her who advertise animals for sale and charge tax because they have a buisness licence.Since when can you not advertise? If he put it int he wrong forum...let me now.

I am not a moderator, just a member like yourself. If you need more clarification than I can offer then I suggest you contact Jeff or one of the moderators.
I shall do my best to alleviate your concern: advertising is allowed, in the classifieds (not the General Forum), and only exotic animals and/or husbandry accessories can be posted. Since websites are neither an exotic animal nor husbandry equipment, his post did not satisfy the aformentioned criteria (and was removed instead of relocated). I can only speculate that this is why the post was removed.
Hope this helps,
R

If your friend would like to contact jeff regarding a banner or perhaps a link on the sponsors page, please feel free to pass this on to them.
It would benefit both them and the site, otherwise, using the general forum as marketing space for a service is not allowed.
Regardless of its good intentions.
Please understand that if we let one slide, theres no reason why we shouldn't let them all slide and i dont think anyone here wants to see the general forums turned into a spam free for all.

if you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me.
