Hey Brandy!

I had a similar problem with gnats/mites a while back. Not sure in this case, but I washed my leaves with plain mouthwash (flavourless) and it killed off the bugs, without harming the plant or animal. Again, not sure if it would work in this case, but heh.

ya just wash the leaves, and repot it. cause that bug might have come from the soil

I am trying to determine to myself whether or not the use of nix would be dangerous. I guess if Dank successfully used mouthwash, it is just as dangerous, or possibly more harmful, then a nix solution. Anyhow, if you want to do this, pick up a bottle of Nix, the original solution, from your local pharmacy. Mix one bottle of mix to four litres of water and you shouldn't have a problem. I would really give the soil a good soaking in this solution. You could cover the soil to ensure that the water from the ground isn't ingested.

The mouthwash actually has no chemicals harmful to chams. I talked to a breeder who swears by the stuff - LOL

I have had that problem ones before, i use crushed garlic mixed with water (let it stay for 24 houers in the water) then spray it all over the plant. it will kill a few kinds of bugs (BUT, not sure how the chams will react on it).

well im taking the plants out i have extra cages so i move them and take out the plants, im not sure i trust mouthwash, and same with nix, garlic ideas got some potential lol,

Cleaned most of the bad plants with dish soap in water, the hard part was picking off all the eggs, lots of leves and stems on a ficus lol. god im pooped. ill check them all tomorow see how well that worked on the worst plant. they seemes to leave the pothos alone on a side note.

im pooped now!

I am not too sure about that. If it is harmful to humans if ingested, I cannot see it being compeltely safe to chameleons. Maybe it is just safe because the chameleon doesn't ingest it?
