How Do I Breed???

i know my name is snake lover but i do own some waterdragons, a pair of them. One is about 2 feet long (male) and the other is maybe 16-18 inches long (female) i read that hey need to be both 2 feet longbefore you try to breed. is that true??? because when i put them in the cage ( 6ft 8in high, 6 ft long, 3ft deep) and put them near eachother the boy wwill start bobing his head and waving his arm and then sometimes even attack her... not hard but just a little snap. She seems to not like it and will run away fast and hide somewhere. what do i do if i want them to breed. O and the color of the female is really dark. it has been this way ever since i bought her about 3-5 months ago. the color of the boy is beautiful. and when they do breed... if they ever do... what should i do for the eggs... there is alopt of dirt in the cage where she could lay them but i dont know how i would find them... there is alot of places where she could lay them... right know she is really skinny and wont eat that much... the boy will eat and is quite fat at the moment... i hope you guys can help me out... ive never bred anything before so i dont know anything... help me out if you can
thanks

feed them a wholllllllle lot for a long period of time, then begin a cooling season with no bask, very minimal light LOTS OF MISTING! thats a must.. It usually only takes 4-6 weeks.. Drop to high 60's low 70's.. Then heat back up again, offer lots of food, and wallah, should see breeding activity.

the 2 ft rule is BS, if the female has good body mass, length means nothing. Obviously dont allow a female to breed if her hips are sticking out.
Good luck!
