Yes, but beware that wood wich you pick up off the ground probobly harbors all kinds of parasites, mites, bacteria, and fungi. You don't want to introduce any of the above into your snakes cage. Remember ... he is closed in there with it. I like drift wood wich has been in the water a while. I then take it home, spray it with bleach. let it dry, and spray it with provent a mite, then let it dry in the sun or just bake in the oven at 200F for an hour. Your best bet is to just cut a live branch. Would'nt hurt to spray with bleach, dry, and rinse. But NEVER USE CEDAR! But beyond that I don't think balls climb very much. Ask around.
