Hehehe one more and I'm good!
I think this is my last question. I've been reading alot of the caresheets, and they all say the same way for keeping humidity up. "Spraying the cage (it varies) times a day/week"
Is there any other way with screen enclosures? I figured it may be a bit hard because of the airflow needed.

Not really. Either humid room, hand misting, or mister system.

another way that I use is to put duct tape on one third to half the screen top, helps keep the humidity in and you still have screen portions to allow air flow. works for me..

Not really sure i would go with this method for a chameleon.. Kind of defeats the purpose of of a screened enclosure..
Jenn, depending on the size of your enclosure, you could also try using a small humidifier in the bottom of the cage, just tuck it away in behind the plants or whatever.. I'm sure that would work..

*giggles* That's the two I'm contemplating right now, I'm either getting the two AFT's next or the Cham, but I'm just not sure which first lmao
I was thinking AFT's because they're a better beginner, I love them, and it'll get me used to cricket care
But then Cham's I've ALWAYS been intrigued by, I love them, and it would still get me used to cricket care lmfao

well I like my new AFT, you know the one you stole! He is hadleable, friendly, funny to watch hunt, likes to be petted and is easy to care for. and AFT is more of a touchy feely pet, a Cham, well I too wanted one, but after reading the posts and all the care of them, I decided that I prefer to be able to interact with my pets... so I went the way of the Leo! (at the time)..
Anyway you will know what is best for you, just ask yourself what you want right now out of your newbie.. maybe a cham is something you will want later on, or maybe an AFT... only you will know!
Let us know your final decision!!

definitely not a lizard person but wouldn't adding a bunch of the water crystals into the substrate help?

*grins* Yeah, see the problem is that I can never judge what animal to get based on husbandry requirements. Because I usually look before I leap
But, you're right about the personality and what I want now as opposed to later. Furthermore, the enclosure's I'm building wouldn't be able to hold a Cham, I'd have to get another type of enclosure, which again, I don't mind doing, but then I'd have more empty enclosures lol
So yeah, I'll know what to get when it's time. Maybe I'll shock everyone and pick up a beardie! lmao
