baby food and golden geckos
Hey people,
Well today my mom and I were shopping for food, and I stumbled to the baby food section. The first thing that poped in my head was my golden geckos. I was about to buy a little cup thingy of banana flav. but i dont know how i should feed it to them.

id put it in a small dish inside their enclosure. chances are theyd smell it or stumble onto it and take a bite. that or you could hand feed em with an eye dropper.

It doesn't matter much how it's offered.
You can spread it on the cage wall, or butter it on a branch, or put it in a canary dish....
I'm sure the gecko doesn't care.
Add some calcium to it... especially for egg producing females

i just put mine on a lid from a plastic container. They find it pretty quickly. My pair of Goldens are about 5 years old and this is their 4th home, and I'm sure their first time living properly. When I gave them their first bit of apricot baby food, it was gone in no time. I have since been varying with the amounts and find that a tablespoon full is too much for my two.
I'm new too, so tell me if they like banana. I've just tried apricot and now a fruit blend of berries. Also, I gave them a few slices of fresh strawberry and they liked that.

My guy "Wee" LOVES apricot baby food, he also like the mixed berrie types. He will also accept small chunks of chopped melon, berries, and other fruits. I just put it on a dish and he almost always goes to it right away.

Love that pic marisa! My geckos have you to thank for the introduction of fruit in their lives! We didn't really like them when we aquired them and gave them stupid names (Rupert and Olga.) Their lives have definately improved since i've been on this site!
