Ammy afraid of mice?

I recently aquire a strapping but WC adult female amazon. I've had her for about a month or two now and she's got good weight, but she seems to be afraid of the mice I've been offering. Both times I've tried (with a f/k mouse), all she's done is it hit it again and again with her nose.
I've also placed her in a rubbermaid with a mouse for a couple hours without bugging her and she hasn't been interested.

Any ideas?

When I first got my male ATB, he would do that. He's really shy. He'd just hit the rat away....I got frustrated and just left it in his cage on a small plate. After I turned the lights out and an hour later he ate it. So now that's all I do, and it seems to prefer to eat that way.... Good luck!

First off. if its a w/c ammie, have it checked for parasites, they are usually loaded. if thats all clear,I had one that dint want to feed too. i tried loking it in a deli cup and all the regular tricks to no avail.
Then I tried using the ammies agressive nature to my favor. I took the pinkie (my ammie was a baby) and on hemostats would lightly tap the ammie across his face. Mind you not hard at all, just keep brushing up to its face. This will usually tick the ammie off enough to figure it will have to kill and eat the mouse so it will leave it alone. Usually if you do that once or twise, they are pretty much set on the path of being a food hog then.

Also what are your cage temps and humidity at? I realize your an experienced keeper, but sometimes we all get some bum information.

Also I feed my ammies in the cage. I dont remove them to eat. By the time i get them uncoiled to get out of the cage they are so ticked at me they could care less about feeding. Plus ammies are veryy slow in digesting, most after a couple years of age only want to eat every 2-3 weeks.

I give mine rat pups Zoe. They were doing that with mice but with rats they go right for them.
