Go with an overhead desert rays heat pannel from bigappleherp.com and control it with a digital proportional thermostat, also from bigapple. This is what I use on all my cages. You'll want a back ground temp of about 85 F., with a hot spot at one end. And never ever put any heat source on or under the bottom of the cage. Please trust me on this! Snakes get burned all the time from laying on a malfunctioning or improperly controled heat source. And remember...use a thermostat, not a reostat! Good luck, Tony.
