They're hatching.............*pic*
<img src="http://www.niagarareptiles.com/temp/ftbabies01.jpg">
I don't seem to remember it taking this long last year, but I guess I've been a little impatient as well This little Amel marks the first to hatch of 2004, it's clutchmate followed two days later.
I'm really looking forward to this season with Fat Tails as it will be our biggest yet, and there are several interesting projects on the go as well
Best wishes to all, and thanks for looking
JonK

GORGEOUS! They are absolutely adorable!
Eh, will you be selling them? If so, I'd definitely be interested in purchasing one... or two

I believe if you look in the classified section, Jon's site is listed in the breeders under Niagra Reptiles.
Jon: gorgeous babies. The breeding season is off to a good start eh

Posting pictures like that is pure torture to us, the poor souls who don't have amel or het AFTs. I do believe torture is against the TOS. To redeem yourself, you'll have to pass them out to us. (Do I at least get marks for trying? )

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
To those who inquired about availability, I probably won't part with any Fat Tails this year until they are visually sexable, but we'll see........at the rate I'm going that might be too many babies to have kicking around
Hilde - Yeah, that has got to be worth a few extra points.....a valiant attempt Tell ya what, I'll pass out all the pictures your could possibly ask for

I definately could use TONS more pictures. Waiting for AFTs to hatch from the breeders since early December is such torture! lol
There's only so much I can do to amuse my mind to keep it off staring at the clock until they hatch and I get an e-mail saying I can spend all my money on them! lol
Speaking of spending money on them, will you be coming to the expo and bringing any with you?
Jenn

Congrats Jon! Nice to see people breeding those.
They're not quite as easy as Leos

Jenn - I tell you the wait has been no picnic for me either I love Fat Tail season, lots of fun and lots of incubator action.
I'm afraid I likely won't make it out to the expo, and probably won't have any babies ready to go at that time either. I would like to keep them until they are visually sexable and are showing some colour before I part with any.......but that might change in a few weeks time when there will be so many more mouths to feed and cages to clean
Roy - If you're talking with Curtis, tell him I'll give him the crash course in Fat Tail reproduction Seriously though, I really don't do anything differently than I did back in my Leo days......at least nothing consiously. But I guess I'm not really one to go by the book on anything. I just kinda do my own thing based on my own research and let the animals guide me from there. I guess it works?

Jon you're such a tease! lol But yeah the whole visually sexable thing and colors makes sense. Since I'm only in the market for an Amel Female and a Normal Female (maybe striped ) lol It would be hard to sell a customer a certain sex if you don't know it yet lol
