Question some help please?

i have 3 questions. since i am new to leos.
#1 -
i have 2 leopard geckos..one is about 6 months in age and the other is about 3-4 months in age. The 6 month old "lana" looks male and has 2 bulges under the vent. "Quatra" the 3-4 month old doesn't. i just got Quatra and she was living with lana in the same cage..no fighting is occuring but i felt as tho lana was intimidated so i removed Quatra and put her in her own cage.
is this the right thing?

#2-
Quatra has alot of spots on her...to be expected..and has a yellow patch on her back..is this a circle back?
and Lana hardly has ANY spots...is she hypo?

#3 - what does hypo mean?

Yes having 2 cages is the right thing. Unfortunately you violated the 1 rule with reptiles which is to quarantine any new arrivals for approz 3 months. Just keep then seperate and if one happens to get sick then you will need to check the other one as well. Without a picture it would be hard to say if it was a circle back. Also at this age the patterns continue to change until adult colors are reached. The general rule for a hypo is 10 spots or less on the body of the gecko. The technical definition of hypomelaninism, hypo for short is a reduction of black pigment.
