the worst thing about feeding

has got to be when feeding ft rats or mice and the skin on the tail falls off in your hands
this just gives me the heebie jeebies

anyone else feel the same lol

Yea, kinda gets to me too, that's why I hold my rats by the legs, hate sitting there with like half a rat tail in my tongs.

lol its only happened to me a couple of times. My daughter thought it was mildly interesting.

I hold them by the leg or the scruff of the neck if they are big. But yeah, tails breaking off in your hand is GROSS!

I agree. not pleasant. When my friend was showing me how to break the necks of feeders, that happened to me. i didn't enjoy that too much.

LOL! My girlfriend, after my snake had refused her f/t rat, my gf decided to have some fun, and spin it around by it's tail, like a propeller. The tail skin came of, the rat smacked the wall, and a good time was had by all....

thats only happend to me once, if i'm talking about what your talking about..holding a rat by the tail, tail breaks in half, just the skin comes off and the bones are reveald? if so, yeah, it made me gag

LOL better yet if you are offing them and the whole tail breaks. A few times I was killing jumbos by means of cervical dislocation. I grabbed behind the head and then yanked the tail and it broke off near the base, and there was all this booger-like spinal cord dangling out

Stuff like that doesn't gross me out though.

I use tongs but the degloving sometimes happens anyways.
