My Bearded dragons new cages

Here is my bearded dragons new cages. The fit under the wire rack shelving perfectly. Im luck cause I forgt to measure the height before I built them. They are 49" X 24" x 25 1/2" Melamine cages with fir fronts on them. A nice design that I saw when I visited Big Dans place in the summer.

Let me know what you think.

They look great! I maay have to do the same thing. I really like the wood on the front. I hate the white melamine!

Greg,
That looks wonderful, and your beardies look GREAT! I'd love to be able to build my own custom enclosure, about how much did it cost you to build that? I love tanks with sliding doors, very cool!

Wanna give me a ''How To''? Lol.

Cages like that cost about $100.00 plus the time it takes to build them. Depending on what tools you are using, that will determine how long it takes, and the type of construction used.

The front is solidly pieced together with a pocket hole joiner, then brad nailed to the face of the cage. The cage is a melamine box, with vents cut out in the back with a jigsaw, and lighting mounted to the inside. Usually if you don't have a table saw, the hardware stores will cut the wood for you at a nominal cost. I cut it myself on my table saw, as usually the hardware stores aren't that accurate with their cuts.

hope that helps.
