Salmon male breeding type 2 anery female pics

I thought my little salmon male was done for the year he just spent the last 2 months courting and breeding an 8 foot female that now looks to be gravid.

I thought I might try him with my Type 2 anery female and 5 mintues later he was doing his thing.

Male is a poss super salmon 66% poss het for albino (Rich Ihle) and the female is a Nicaraguan type 2 anery.

Babies from this breeding would be salmon het for type to anery (aka Salmon DH for type 2 ghost) also possible het for to type 2 snow (blizzard) quite a mouthful but a really interesting combination to prove out down the line. At the very least you would produce some neat looking ghosts from the babies in a few years time. Now all she has to do is actually produce some little ones. LOL

Here is the female

Breeding pic

A couple close ups

Quite the contrast on these two.

Dan

Quite a contrast... and quite the genetics headache when the babies are born!

Good luck, Dan.

Very interesting mix! I hope he is a super so you don't end up with 1/2 normal/Nicaraguan hets! Keep us posted, I would love to see what the babies look like! Good Luck!
