oh boy.. you paid for a snake from a pet shop that you know is sick... not the best thing to do. Who won't let you take it home until the resp infection clears up? the shop? or is it someone who bought it from the shop and is rehabbing it?
Anyway, sorry but your best bet would be to do a search on Google.ca
Honestly you should have done the research BEFORE you aquired it. you still have to get the temps right before it comes home,. especially if it has an infection already....

Central American BCIs are cared for exactly like their Colombian counterparts, except that, being from Sonora and Mexico, they are more likely to enjoy a DRY environment, except during shed time, when you can increase their humidity. But yes, if you consider a herp purchase again, 1) Don't buy a sick animal from a pet store and 2) Do the research LONG before you put any money down.

Centrals are not limited to just Mexico, they also come from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, etc. These places are not as dry as the above mentioned.
IMHO I would try to get my money back and wait on it. Do some research first and get everything ready, then find a *healthy* snake somehwere else. Avoid general pet stores like the plague, most of the time the stuff is not 100% healthy.

I know the snake was sike and that is why a got it the vet as to clear him befor i can take him home. but I got him because he could be a great snake if some one had the time to care for him.
And i now they sould be cared for the same why as a colombians. What I was looking for is if any one know of a site for them or where a could fine more info on central americans
And I would not have got him if i could not care for him I do own other snakes and I think it would be better to have got him than leave him there.I like snakes all kinds and just becuse he sick dose not mean he should not get a home. would you ever rescue a snake...... kate

It's sort of a catch 22... if you're paying for it your really not rescuing it, your feeding the problem. The more money people spend to support those places importing sick snakes, the more sick snakes they will bring in
What kind of information were you looking for on them? We could help you better if you were a little more specific. Centrals are a locality of BCI, obviously covering Central America. They tend to have a busier pattern than Colombians and Hogs, and they have a much broader size range of 4-8 feet in length. Some localities, such as Nicaraguans, have several commonly naturally occurring morphs and variations. Same care as any other locality of BCI.

that pet store doesnt actually sound that bad. I'm actually impressed by the fact they actually have a vet come in. the herps at my LPS have about a 50% mortality rate acording to one of the workers.
good luck with the snake
