How big is the ball pythong? If it is big enough to take 2 mice then it should be big enough for a small rat......

Once he has digested atleast 3 days...since you might be handling him excessively for helping him.....

What is your humidity in his enclosure?

try misting the cage and letting him rub it off himself
Put a damp towel over him and let him go through it.
Put a damp towel in a rubbermaid (with holes) and leave him in it over night.

Put him in a tub of water and let him swim a bit (you might get more than a shed if you do this)
I can't think of anything else, though I'm sure that others have better/more ideas than I do....

Ok that is one problem, you humidity is ok for when he isn't in shed. BUT when he IS in shed the humidity needs to go up to atleast 70%, 80% is better.

Yes I know he ate 2 small mice.....but if he can eat 2 small mice then next feeding you might want to try 1 small rat........

I second what Sapphire Moon said. He definitely needs higher humidity for a good shed.
