Newest addition!
Here's my newest baby. She (I think a she) is a central American Ornate Wood Turtle. She's a little piggy, eating everything in sight! Here she has just finished her supper! Enjoy!

Nice looking CA wood.
Well, they are a fun turtle. Does it liek more land or water? I have seen some loving water and some loving land. I kept one for a while and it loved the water.
Cheers,
JJ

Hello Danielle, sorry that it took me so long to post my congratulations to you. I hope that you enjoy your first Turtle as much as I enjoyed mine. I'll talk to you soon.
Take care, Johnny.

That's quite a beauty you have there! We just got three of those at my work. I have been looking for good care sheets about them and haven't found a whole lot of great information. Does anybody recommend a good site about these guys? I have been playing around with enclosure a little bit to see what they like the most. If I have them in a dry tank with a big water dish they won't eat until after I give them a warm bath. If I keep them in a semi aquatic terrarium they do great but I don't want them to get shell rot or anything. Is there any danger of this or am I being paranoid? Thanks

I don't know much about turtles, but isn't this type simi-aquatic? If so then she shouldn't get any kind of rot as long it has a small are of dry enclosure to get out of the water if they want.
