CD burning software....????

Hello again,
I need another software recommendation.....
I have misplaced my original burning software and am desperately trying to weed through all the free trials (full of spyware).
Does anyone have any suggestions for a basic, free, CD burning program? I mainly burn data so it need not have an audio burning function.
I appreciate any recommendations.
Cheers,
R

We use something called "Ahead Nero"

I do not know if this is the best, but I do know it works fine for us for burning music, or file cds. Its simple too.

Doesn't matter if you have 98... the latest version of Windows Media Player (version 9) has CD burning capabilities built right into it.

Okay, I looked into it and I believe WMP v.9 only has burning capabilities for .wma, .mp3 and wav files, or so says the help file.
I am mainly interested in backing up my many .jpeg files, audio is not a priority for me. Man I wish I hadn't misplaced my NERO software....
Thanks all,
Ryan

I think nero has a demo version.

I don't even know what we're using anymore... some sort of dvd burning program.

It's bizarre, when I go to Nero's homepage there is a link to the free demo version of Nero 6 and when I click on the demo download button I see this message "This is NOT a DEMO-Version!
If you don't have a valid serial number of Nero 6 please don't download this packages!"
Beats me....
